Client: Liz is All Biz
Book keeping and accounting company, owned and operated by Liz Hanley. LIAB was one of my first “big” clients, and represents, in many ways, my ideal client: a woman-owned, majority women-run, bad ass, small business that supports the local community. LIAB was “big” in two ways: the size of her company and scope of work.
Problem
Liz told me her team was growing rapidly, with many of her members working remotely because of location and life changes (moves, kids, etc.). Her needs were twofold, she wanted:
team photos that were consistent and professional. Many of her clients are creatives including photographers and Liz knew that having a hodge podge of team photos did not look good for her brand.
to leverage her social media communications as a way to keep her growing team in touch with each other. She also wanted to be able to have her clients feel like they knew her team and the LIAB culture and values. Marketing to new clients was a secondary priority and benefit for her.
Solution
Liz hired me on retainer to photograph her team members' headshots as they were available (in town for on-site work, or starting as a new hire!) and to come in every couple of months to photograph her team at work in their downtown San Francisco office. We discussed capturing fun candids of her team members in action and their personalities. Liz also had a clear aesthetic and style for her branding: graphic and high contrast black and white.
Brand Value
Liz has professionally shot and edited photos of her new team members that have a consistent look and feel and match Liz is All Biz's brand. In addition to living on her website's Team section, she uses the headshots to introduce her new team members on Instagram.
Liz and team use their on-brand custom stock images in fun and creative ways to engage with their community including introducing and celebrating team members, providing useful tax information and tips, and sharing important announcements.
