These days it feels like I rarely have time to do my own personal photography projects outside of working on the business of photography: administration, website development, photo editing, follow up with clients, etc. But I do take time to make and eat food, so I try to take photos of what I make. Even though photographing my food and the process of preparing it often delays the food from my belly, taking the time to photograph the food nourishes my creativity. It is a fun way to get in some "personal" photography on a more regular basis. Uploading and sharing them, however, is another matter! These are some food shots I've taken this summer.
Ingredients for a vegan potato salad
Using avocados and Dijon mustard instead of mayonnaise
Voilà!
Sometimes I forget to take a photo of the actual end product...as with the following set of photos...I get hungry and start to eat or I get distracted by something else!
Black-eyed peas for an African summer salad recipe
Mmm...cherry tomatoes galore!
Chop chop
Recently, I've gotten into making pizzas using ready-bake crusts. So easy and delicious!
